Kiel Week 2006

Kiel Week is the largest sailing event in the world. This event is also the occasion for the largest summer festival in Northern Europe and numerous cultural events. Kiel Week also hosts one of the oldest and most prestigious international design competitions in the world. Since 1948, renowned and young designers have been competing year after year for the event design of the Kieler Woche. The winning design by Klaus Hesse for 2006 clearly makes a strong case for sailing. Particularly appealing in this implementation are the analytical aesthetics and new perspective on the participating boat classes. ©2006
